NAKMAS

NAKMAS was formed in 1992 and is now the largest independent UK National Governing Body with over 73,000 members. All NAKMAS affiliates benefit from expertise and resources designed to ensure they meet consistently high standards of professionalism. This way, NAKMAS creates a safe, regulated environment where anyone who wishes to participate in martial arts can enjoy outstanding coaching and first class facilities.

NAKMAS has also developed and instigated the NAKMAS Safe Kids Campaign which gives children clear advice on dealing with bullying and abuse. For more information, please visit the official NAKMAS website.

Chris was a member of the Executive Committee representing the Chinese Arts for over ten years and was latterly appointed Equality Champion. In this role, he promoted the aims of NAKMAS to ensure that everyone, irrespective of gender, disability, race, age, sexual orientation, religion and belief, marital status, colour, ethnic origin or social status have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in martial arts, at all levels and in all roles.   Due to commitments within his own group, OMAS, Chris retired from the Committee where his position has been kept open for him to return at a later date.
